Mapping Brands inside OASIS

Brand mapping enables Folio to communicate with OASIS and share detailed product information, including cut sheets, specifications, and more. This article explains how to map brands in Folio.

Note: 

• Mapping a parent brand will automatically map all child brands if the parent/child relationship is set up in OASIS. Learn more about setting up parent/child manufacturers.
• Mapping brands in Folio requires the use of ChatGPT prompts in projects.
• This article uses Desktop OASIS as the walkthrough example. However, these steps can also be completed in OASIS Online.

1. Navigate to the Submittals page.

2. Click the Folio menu, then select Folio setup from the drop-down list.

3. The Folio Setup ... window will appear. 

4. Identify a manufacturer on the left that you wish to map. You can map manufacturers manually or ask OASIS to try to automatically identify the correct entry.

• To map manually, click Not mapped and search for the entry using the text field that appears.
• To ask OASIS to attempt a match, click the spyglass. If this fails, you will need to map the brand manually.

5. Once mapped, the name of the manufacturer will appear on the right.

6. Continue mapping entries as necessary. Once done, click Ok to complete the mapping process.

7. Restart OASIS.
