I am new to using Oasis, some discussion about the best screens for a basic new user to go to, high level overview, quick easy reference points for a newbie
1. There are a few ways to handle this issue. The long term fix is to set up thresholds in your manufacturers. This is found on the Terms tab and then the Commissions and Invoicing subtab.
Set these values to be at the amount that you want to write off, then when a payment gets posted and the remaining value is at or below what is set Oasis will close the order for receiving and invoicing.
For most reports, there are 3 flags that Oasis looks for to determine if the order is active. These are found on the general tab of an order.
The PO status set to closed and the boxes for Close Sales and Receivable being checked. Closed Sales indicates that no more invoices are going to be added, the Receivable box indicates if any more payments are expected.
It is also possible to set these flags for many orders at once, but you will need to do a search in the listing to get them to show. Once this is done, if you have admin rights to orders you can use a tool to set check the boxes for all selected orders.
Go to File-Admin and then use Close Sales/Close Receivable.
For number 2, this would be a good topic for more in-depth training. We will leave this in the rotation for future topics.
3. There are a few reports in Oasis that can get this information. Both are found on the Invoice page, for resell orders where you need to send a list to your customer there is the Customer Statement of Invoices or the Aged Invoice report. The Aged Invoice report will also be what you use for Commissioned orders.
On the Invoice page, go to Reports at the top and select Aged Invoices
You can use this report to select all open invoices for a specific customer or manufacturer and send them a report of them.
4. We do not have a preference in invoices to show line numbers at this time, but it is possible that we will add it in the future.
