folio scope is a new service exclusive to O4 that provides agents access to product lookups by brand or keyword. After mapping the desired brands in O4, users can perform open product searches or select a part number in a bill of materials to see product images, attributes, cut sheets, and more. This article will explain how to set up and use folio scope in O4.
Note: To view a list of available folio brands, navigate to the Submittals page, click , then select Show Brands.
Mapping Brands for folio
Note: Mapping a parent brand will automatically map all child brands if the parent/child relationship is set up in OASIS. Learn more about setting up parent/child manufacturers.
1. Navigate to the Submittals page.
2. Click , then select Setup from the drop-down list.
3. The Brand Mapping window will appear.
4. Locate the desired brand in your OASIS database on the left, then select the matching brand available for folio using the drop-down list on the right.

Using folio scope
While in edit mode inside a quote or order, folio scope can perform an open search based on brand name and/or product keywords. Users can also select a part number entered in the bill of materials to scope out its product information directly. Note: to enter edit mode on a quote or order, click .
Performing an Open Search
1. To perform an open search using folio scope, click , then select scope.
2. The Product Scope window will appear.
3. Use the Brand Name and/or Product Keywords search to define a product listing, then click .
4. folio scope will produce a list of products matching the search criteria, displaying the product image, brand logo, brand name, series ID, and product description.
5. Click a product to view more details.
6. A new page will appear, providing attributes and other crucial information, such as PAT Lead Time. It also lists helpful product resources, such as PDF cut sheet downloads and a quick link to the manufacturer's website.
Performing a Direct Search
1. To scope out a part entered in the bill of materials, select a catalog number with a manufacturer, click , then select scope.
Note: Users can also right-click the catalog number in the bill of materials and select scope.
2. The Product Scope page will appear. When scoping out a product listed in the bill of materials, folio scope will include the catalog number in the list of product details on the right.
