Building Products in Folio Select

Many products in Folio Select include the Product Builder, which allows you to create catalog numbers using the attribute options listed on the product cut sheet. This article will explain how to use the Product Builder.

Requirements:

• Users must have Update access to Projects to open Folio Select.
• Brands must be mapped.

Note: 

• Any manufacturer configurator set up within OASIS will be used in place of the Folio Product Builder. Learn more about OASIS manufacturer integrations.
• The Folio Product Builder does not guarantee that all catalog numbers created will be valid. Please refer to the manufacturer's product list for confirmation.

1. Open the Bid Editor for any project.

2. Click the Folio menu, then click select.

3. Folio Select will open to the Product Search page.

4. Search for a product, then click View.

5. The Product Details page will appear.

6. If available, click Build Product.

7. The Product Builder page will appear. 

8. Build the catalog number using the option selectors at the bottom of the page. You can also type the catalog number manually into the Catalog field.

9. Once built, if the catalog number matches a part in a price list in OASIS, helpful pricing information will appear at the top of the page. You can also favorite the catalog number for convenient access later.

10. Click Import to import the catalog number into your bill of materials.
