Reminders allow users to send, reply, renew, and acknowledge messages to support daily processes. Reminders can be used to remind yourself or other users to call a customer, check for a status update, attend a meeting, and more. This article will explain:
- How to locate the Reminders feature
- How to create reminders
- How to view reminders
- How to reply to, renew, and acknowledge reminders
Locating Reminders
Reminders are represented by the following icon in the toolbar on the Home page, Calendar page, and the Attachments tab of a transaction or entity.
Creating a Reminder
1. Click to create a new reminder.
2. The Reminder window will appear.
3. Enter a subject into the Description field.
4. Enter the date for the reminder to appear using the Notify On or After field. Click to use the Calendar selection feature to select the day.
5. Using the text field, enter details about the reminder up to 2000 characters.
- - check message for spelling errors
- - insert a Clipboard note using the drop-down field
6. Identify the recipients of the reminder using the Notify drop-down list.

- Me- create the reminder for yourself
- Workgroup- create the reminder for all users assigned to your default workgroup
- Select Users- create the reminder for specific users; the User Selector pop-up window will appear after clicking Ok on the Reminder window to allow the user to make the selection(s) before the reminder is created.

- All- create the reminder for all active users in OASIS
7. Click Ok.
Viewing a Reminder
On the Home Page
Reminders appear on the Welcome section of the Home page.
1. Click the Reminder link to view it. The Reminder window will appear.
2. If the Reminder was created from the Attachments tab, a link to the transaction or entity will appear indented below the Reminder link to allow users to conveniently open the associated entry.
On the Calendar Page
Reminders will appear in red text on the Notify On or After date in the calendar.
1. Click the reminder, then select Show Reminder ... from the drop-down list to view the reminder. The Reminder window will appear.
2. If the Reminder was created from the Attachments tab of a transaction or entity, the drop-down list will include Show Transaction to allow users to conveniently open the associated entry.
3. Use the Reminders drop-down field to filter reminders shown on the Calendar by user.
Reminder Pop-Up
If a user is signed into OASIS when a reminder has been created for them, they will receive a pop-up window. The reminder will then be displayed on the user's Home page and Calendar page.
Interacting with a Reminder
After opening a Reminder, users have three choices. They can:
- Reply to the reminder
- Renew the reminder to appear on a different day
- Acknowledge the reminder to remove it
Reply to a Reminder
1. In the Reminder window, click Reply.
2. The Description will include "RE:" before the original subject to indicate the message is a reply. Changes can be made to the subject, if necessary.
3. In the text field, type the reply above the message break which appears above the original message by default.
3. Select the recipient(s) from the Notify drop-down.
4. Click Ok to send the reply.
Renew a Reminder
1. In the Reminder window, click Renew.
2. Change the Notify On or After date to select the new notification date for the reminder.
3. In the text field, enter any additional notes above the message break which appears above the original message by default.
4. Click Ok to renew the reminder.
Acknowledge a Reminder
1. In the Reminder window, check Acknowledge.
2. Click Ok. The reminder will be removed from the Home page. On the Calendar, the reminder's text will change from red to black to signify it has been acknowledged.
