If an order is entered without converting from the existing quote, the order may be linked to the original quote at any time. Note: this will be a header level linkage. The line level linkage will not be present. Users will not be able to see line level color codes showing the status from the order when viewing the quote, but this linkage will allow for certain reporting options. CAUTION: this process is not reversible.
Locating the Quote Number
1. Navigate to the Quotes page.
2. Create a new quote or open an existing quote.
3. Locate and note the quote number that appears in the "Header" area. In this example, the full quote number is "TRTY14-19." However, only "19" is needed.
Linking the Order to the Quote
1. Navigate to the Orders page.
2. Create the order as needed.
3. Select the "General" tab.
4. Enter the quote number into the "Our Quote" field. In this example, the number is 19. Note: the "#" must be entered before the number.
5. Tab off the field.
6. The "Question" window will appear, confirming that you would like to link the order to the quote. CAUTION: this process is not reversible.
7. Select "Yes."
8. If the quote is found to have a valid quote number and is located in the database, OASIS will automatically add the full quote number to the "Our Quote" field.
9. The linkage is complete and items can now be manually added to the "Items" tab.
Linking an Existing Order
If the order was already created, saved, printed, etc, users can still link it to the existing quote number. Note: this process requires admin access.
1. Navigate to the Orders page.
2. Open the needed order.
3. Select "Action."
4. Select "Admin Mode." This allows the admin to make changes to the order.
5. Enter the quote number as explained in the previous section.
