The Formula Box Tool only applies to the "Sell Price," "Level 1," "Level 2," and "Level 3" columns. This tool allows users to configure changes to the sell price for reference.
In this example, the unit prices to the customer are in the "Sell Price" column. We would like to see what those prices would look like with 30% added to them without changing the values in the "Sell Price" column. This process can be completed using the "Level 1, 2, or 3" columns.
Using the Formula Box Tool
1. Navigate to the Projects page or the Quotes page. Note: this example will use the Quotes page.
2. Create a new quote or open an existing quote.
3. Select the needed phase and bid tabs if there are more than one.
4. Select the "Items" tab.
5. Fill in the quote as needed.
6. Select the "Level 1" header, so the entire column is highlighted.
7. Locate the "Formula" box above the bill of materials.
8. Enter any percentage amount, such as "30" into the "Formula" box. Note: if you are using another percentage, such as 15% then enter 15.
9. Select "Apply." OASIS will multiply the values in the "Sell Price" column by 30%, and place the results in the "Level 1" column. Note: the "#%L1" column will display the percentage that the "Sell Price" column has been raised or lowered by.
Using Level Columns to Quote Prices to Customers
1. Select the "Customers" tab to quote the Level 1 price to the customer.
2. Locate the "Totals" area.
3. Change the "PriceLevel" field from "Sell" to "Level 1."
4. Select "Save and Close."
