This tool allows users to search price files for any manufacturer and see what pricing has been loaded. Most users find it helpful for giving a customer a price quickly, rather than creating and sending a quote.
Looking Up a Price
1. Navigate to the Price Lookup page.
2. In the "Manufacturer" field, select the button. Note: users may also select a customer to lookup customer price exceptions
3. The "Select Manufacturer" window will appear.
4. Check the box corresponding to the needed manufacturer.
5. Select "OK."
6. Enter a portion or all of the part number (catalog number). Note: users may also enter a description of the part if the description was saved when creating the part.
7. Select "Find."
8. All parts matching the entered part number will appear.
The Lookup Tab
1. Use this tab to view information about each part.
2. If a customer is not entered, the Price Lookup tool will display the following information:
- Part- the part (catalog) number
- Description- description of the part, as listed in the price list
- Book- book price with commission
- Base- the price selected from the OASIS quote path (populates the "Base" column in quotes)
- OBase- the price where the manufacturer pays overage (populates the "OBase" column in quotes)
- Notes- displays one of the following values
- Overageable- the overage price was used for "Price"
- Base- the base price (per quote path) was used for "Price"
- Exception- a customer price exception was used
- Book Price- the default book price was selected
- Level # Price- the customer was set to a price level or "OPath" was used to select the price.
- Config. Estimate- an OASIS series matched the catalog number and a price was generated from the series logic
- Configured- an OASIS series configuration matched the catalog number and the price of the configuration was used
- Local Inv- the number of items available to sell, if the manufacturer is setup for consigned or resell inventory
- The remaining columns are the different price columns set up in the OASIS price list. These columns must be labeled on the Level Names tab of the price list editor.
The Exceptions Tab
1. Use this tab to view the parts that have a customer price exception.
2. The Price Lookup tool will display the following information:
- Part- the part (catalog) number
- Description- the description of the part as listed in the price list
- Price- the sell price OASIS would use on an order
- Notes- same as the values listed in the "Lookup" tab
- Local Inv- the number of items available to sell, if the manufacturer is setup for consigned or resell inventory
- The remaining columns are the different price columns set up in the OASIS price list.
Checking Stock
1. Select a part from the Lookup tab, then click Stock.
2. The "Manufacturer Stock Status" window will appear.
3. Click "Update."
4. Local inventory in OASIS or inventory from manufacturer connectivity will appear.
