Stock Status is now available for Current (GE) Inventory. Stock Status items can be viewed in two different ways: the user may view the inventory quantities for all products on the quote or order, or view the availability of only one selected Current (GE) item in the quote or order.
Note: this article assumes that the Current (GE) connectivity has been configured. For more information, click here.
Setting Up Stock Status
1. Navigate to the Manufacturers page.
2. Open the manufacturer entry for Current (GE).
3. Select the "General" tab.
4. Select "Configure Specialization."
5. The "Configure Current (GE)" window will appear.
6. Select the "Inventory" tab.
7. Check the "Enable Inventory Lookup" box.
8. Select "Save" to close the "Configure Current (GE)" window.
9. Select "Save and Close" to close the Current (GE) manufacturer entry.
Viewing Stock Status for All Items
This tool will lookup inventory quantities for all products on the quote or order.
1. Navigate to the Quotes page or the Orders page. Note: this example will use the Quotes page.
2. Open the needed quote.
3. Select a Bid.
4. Select “Tools.”
5. Select “Stock Status" from the drop-down list.
6. The “Print BOM Stock Status” window will appear, listing any manufacturers from the quote who are set up with inventory, including Current (GE).
7. Select the “Inventory” tab.
8. Use the various “GE-labeled” column to view the number of parts available at various locations.
Viewing Stock Status for One Item
This tool pulls status information for a single produc10t.
1. Navigate to the Quotes page or the Orders page. Note: this example will use the Quotes page.
2. Open the needed quote.
3. Select a Bid.
4. Select the needed Current (GE) item to highlight it.
5. Select “Tools.”
6. Select “Stock Status (one item)" from the drop-down list.
7. The “Manufacturer Stock Status” window will appear with the selected item and the manufacturer entry automatically entered.
8. Select “Update” to view the available inventory for the item.
