This article will explain how to import an RFQ response from Cooper Lighting. Note: This article assumes the necessary setup has already been configured. Learn more about setting up Cooper connectivity.
1. Navigate to the Projects or Quotes page.
2. Open the needed quote.
3. Select the RFQ button. When the RFQ button is pressed, Cooper's Flash server is scanned for any updates to the RFQ response. A yellow RFQ button indicates that OASIS has already identified a response from Flash.
4. If multiple quotes are found during the scan, a list of quotes will appear. Double-click a response to import it.
5. The RFQ response window will appear.
6. Select Sell from the Level drop-down list in the Compare To Our Quote section.
7. Choose which method to use to import the response using the following checkboxes in the Import into Our Quote section:
-
Append to quote: adds the response to the end of the quote, duplicating line items. Note: The OASIS Move Row Up
and Move Row Down
tools may be used to reposition imported lines from the flash quote.
- Merge with quote: overrides any existing line items with the response.
8. While all other settings are optional, it's highly recommended to check the checkboxes in the Import into Our Quote and Options section:
- Sell: imports the sell price into the Sell column.
- OBase: import the OBase price into the OBase column.
- Import Notes: imports line item notes into the Notes column.
- Import Descriptions: imports line item descriptions into the Description column.
- Import manufacturer cat #: imports the manufacturer part number into the MFG Part column.
9. Refer to the Notes tab for any information recorded by Cooper, then select Import.
The bill of materials should update based on the import method selected in step seven. The RFQ response is also saved as an OASIS attachment in the project. The quote may be adjusted as required; however, any changes to the imported lines is considered a potential discrepancy and may be rejected by Flash when ordered.
Note: as part of the import process, the Flash quote number is inserted into the OASIS MFG Quote column. Learn more about adding columns to a quote.
