The instructions below demonstrate opening the Sliding Scale before adjusting pricing so updates to the commission rate happen automatically when the prices are changed.
Requirements:
- The quote or order must be saved before OASIS can process Sliding Scale pricing.
Enabling Sliding Scale for One Part
1. Select a part number in the bill of materials.
2. Click the Signify menu, then select Sliding Scale - One Item from the drop-down list.
3. A new window displaying the part's Target, Mid, and Min price and commission levels will appear. Below the pricing levels, OASIS will state the commission level for the price currently entered in the bill of materials or if the part requires an RFQ to determine the commission rate.
4. Click OK. The part can now be adjusted to any price between its Min and Target price level, and OASIS will automatically adjust its commission level.
Enabling Sliding Scale for All Parts
1. Click the Signify menu, then select Sliding Scale - Entire BOM.
2. A new window will notify the user that the request could temporarily freeze OASIS.
3. Click Yes.
4. Once the request has been processed, a new window will appear displaying the Target, Mid, and Min price and commission rates for all parts in the bill of materials. The Notes column will list the commission rate based on each part's current price or if the part requires an RFQ to determine the commission rate.
5. Click Ok. Any adjustments to a part's price between its Min and Target price will automatically adjust its commission rate to the correct percentage.
