The Base URL and Notification Account is required for several features in O4. This article will explain how to setup each setting. To learn more about O4, read our What is O4? help article.
1. Click the icon.
2. Select Configuration from the drop-down menu.
3. Click Software.
4. O4 Settings will appear.
5. Click the Global Settings tab, then the Web tab.
The Base URL
The Base URL is provided by Ingen Software and enables several O4 features, such the ability to generate QR codes for O4 Samples and utilize the Legacy O4 Web Menu. If you have not received your Base URL, please email OASIS Support at support@oasissalessoftware.com.
The Notification Account
The Notification Account controls the email address used to send email notifications from O4. Conversations, Scheduled Reports, and some Tiles use email notifications to keep users informed.
Email notifications can be sent from our OASIS Notifications email address, a user's email address, or from the OASIS Service user's email address.
OASIS Notifications Email Address
To send email notifications from notifications@oasissalessoftware.com, leave the Notification Account field blank. Note: this email is unmonitored. Do not use this email to contact OASIS Support. To contact OASIS Support, email support@oasissalessoftware.com or call 501-843-6750.
User's Email Address
To send email notifications from a user's email address, enter the user's User ID into the Notification Account field. The user must have the Microsoft Office 365 email connector configured.
OASIS Service User's Email Address
To send email notifications from a different email address, users can create an OASIS Service user. OASIS Service users are user accounts that have the OASIS Service User Type assigned. The OASIS Service User Type prevents access to Legacy OASIS and O4 to avoid accidental license consumption or change in O4 Service Tier, as well as other benefits such as omittance from reporting.
However, since the OASIS Service user must have the Microsoft Office 365 email connector configured, users must first assign the Legacy Only User Type to perform a one-time login to Legacy OASIS and configure the email. Permanent license files provide a temporary rotating license key designed for turnover that can be used to perform the one-time login. Please contact OASIS Support for issues completing this step by emailing support@oasissalessoftware.com or calling 501-843-6750.
