Within the Customer page, users can set up various options to specialize OASIS to their specific needs. Users can add to or adjust settings as needed. This article will discuss the available settings when configuring customers.

 

Using the Customer Configuration Tool

1. Navigate to the Customers page.

2. Select "File," and then select "Configuration."

The Phone Kinds Tab

1. Use this tab to track any contact information for a customer.

2. Double-click on a "Kind" to change it.

3. Select the new.PNG button to add kinds, and the select the remove.PNG button to remove kinds.

The Roles Tab

1. Use this tab to alter or set a customer role. The default roles are Architect, Engineer, Distributor, Contractor, and Owner. For more information, click here.

2. Check the needed boxes to alter the customer's role.

  • Always show- this entry will always show in the general tab of a quote or order.
  • Required- this entry is required to create a quote or order.
  • DirectCustomer- this entry is a direct quoted customer.
  • IndirectCustomer- this entry is the customer quoted by your direct customer.

3. Select the new.PNG button to add lines, and select the remove.PNG button to remove lines.

The Influence Tab

1. Use this tab to adjust the influence a specifier has on a project. Note: these changes can also affect sales/commission accounts.

2. The default influences are displayed. Double-click on an field to change the influence.

The Cust. Ranks Tab

1. Once a customer has a sales account assigned to them, you can rank a customer or specifier.

2. Use this tab to add or alter ranking settings.

3. The default ranks are displayed. Double-click on a field to change it.

4. Select the new.PNG button to add a line, and select the remove.PNG button to remove a line.
