Orders Global Settings – Ingen Software

The Orders tab of Global Settings allows users to customize settings that affect orders. This article will define and provide recommendations for each setting.

Requirements:

User must have Admin access to Software.

Note:

Please contact OASIS Support if setting a field to a value other than what is recommended unless the value is discretionary.

Allow duplicate PO numbers - Warning is provided	If checked, OASIS will allow duplicate PO numbers, even if the customer and manufacturer are the same. If unchecked, OASIS will not allow a duplicate PO number if the customer, manufacturer, and the PO number are the same.	Unchecked
Resell orders default to Lot Billing	If checked, resell orders will default to lot net billing.	Discretionary
Do not copy descriptions from quotes	If checked, OASIS will not copy part number descriptions when converting a quote into an order. If unchecked, OASIS will copy part number descriptions during quote conversions.	Discretionary
Don't show unit prices on Lot Priced orders	If checked, OASIS will hide unit pricing if the order is lot net billed. If unchecked, OASIS will show unit pricing, even if the order is lot net billed.	Discretionary
Only use resell forms on buy transactions	If checked, OASIS will only use the Purchase Order form (which displays cost only; does not show commission and overage) when printing vendor buy orders, even if the manufacturer is identified as Resell Ok. If unchecked, OASIS will only use the Purchase Order when printing vendor buy orders if the manufacturer is identified as Resell Only. If the manufacturer is Resell Ok, it will use the Sales Order form (which displays commission and overage).	Discretionary
Buy PO number is editable	If checked, OASIS will allow users to change the auto-generated vendor order number that populates for vendor buy orders.	Discretionary
Always default order print to the office copy	This setting will be removed in a future release.	Unchecked
Don't allow consolidation orders	If checked, resell order lines cannot be added to a consolidation order.	Discretionary
CC assigned customer sales person when emailing customer order	If checked, when sending a Customer Copy of an order using the Send Message output, the sales user assigned to the customer will be automatically courtesy copied.	Discretionary
CC assigned sales accounts when emailing customer order	If checked, when sending a Customer Copy of a quote using the Send Message output, any sales users assigned to the order will be automatically courtesy copied.	Discretionary
Blank quoter allowed	If checked, the Quoter field on the order can be blank. If unchecked, the Quoter field on the order cannot be blank. A blank Quoter field will prevent the user from printing and saving the order.	Discretionary
Enable enhanced duplicate PO# detection	This setting will be removed in a future release.	Unchecked Do not make a change without first contacting OASIS Support
Show manufacturer's part number on orders (when available)	If checked, OASIS will display the manufacturer part number entered in the MFG Part column instead of the part number entered in the Part column in the price list. However, if the MFG Part column is blank, OASIS will use the part number in the Part column.	Discretionary
Prepare customer copy of the order (Send Message)	If checked, OASIS will automatically select the Customer Copy print if the user selects the Sales Order print while using the Send Message output. If unchecked, OASIS will not select the Customer Copy print when the user selects the Sales Order print while using the Send Message output. Note: This setting is for convenience. Users can always select both prints manually.	Discretionary
Blank quoter on PO forms (forms only)	If checked, OASIS will not display the Quoter on purchase order prints.	Discretionary
Allow mixed case PO numbers	If checked, the PO number will accept upper-case and lower-case characters.	Unchecked Do not make a change without first contacting OASIS Support
Require Ship-to City, State, and Zip	If checked, OASIS will require a Ship To address with city, state, and zip before the order can be printed.	Discretionary
Record Sales Account changes	If checked, OASIS will create an attachment in the order that lists any sales account changes.	Discretionary
Allow resell orders to create consigned picks	If checked, OASIS will allow users to create consigned inventory picks for resell orders. If unchecked, OASIS will only allow users to create resell inventory picks for resell orders.	Unchecked
New orders are X	OASIS will use this selection when creating orders.	Discretionary
New resell orders are X	OASIS will use this selection when setting freight terms when creating resell orders.	Discretionary
Unacknowledged after X days and unscheduled after X days	OASIS will automatically identify orders as Unacknowledged and Unscheduled after the specified number of days.	2 days
Create a reminder to check shipping X days after transmitting an order:	After transmitting the order, OASIS will ask the user if they would like to create a reminder that will appear on the Home page after the specified number of days have passed. Users can define the subject and message of these reminders using the following settings. If this value is set to zero, OASIS will not prompt the users to create a reminder after transmitting the order.	Discretionary
Subject:	If the Create a reminder to check shipping X days after transmitting an order has a value greater than zero, the subject line for the reminder can be defined here. The "{ManufacturerName}" tag will be replaced with the manufacturer's name.	Discretionary
Message:	If the Create a reminder to check shipping X days after transmitting an order has a value greater than zero, the reminder message can be defined here. The "{ManufacturerName}" tag will be replaced with the manufacturer's name.	Discretionary
