Conversations allows users to follow one or more users when creating a message or replying to message. Following a user on a conversation can be achieved by manually adding them to the Followers section or by tagging them in a message using the @ symbol. This article will explain how to follow users on a conversation from the Conversations page. Read about the difference between the Conversations page and the Conversations tab in a transaction.
Note: once a user is followed, the user will be notified and will be continued to be notified of all future messages until they are removed as a follower. The message history will be shared with the user and the message history will remain even after they are removed.
Using the Followers Section
1. Click the button next the message's subject line.
2. The Followers section will open.
3. Type the user's first name into the search field.
4. Select the user from the drop-down list to add them as a follower.
Using the @ Method
1. In the message field, type the @ symbol and immediately begin to type the user's first name (do not enter a space between @ and the first letter of the user's first name). If the conversation is tied to a transaction, users can follow a user or a group of users by tagging their role. The following roles are available to tag:
- @CSR- follow the user assigned as the CSR for the transaction
- @Sales Team- follow all sales account users identified on the transaction
- @Quoter- follow the user assigned as the quoter for the transaction
2. A drop-down list will appear. Select the user or role you wish to follow from the drop-down list.
3. The user's first and last name or the tagged role will appear bolded inside the message field.
4. Continue typing your message, then click or press CTRL+ENTER on your keyboard to send the message.
5. The user(s) will be added to the Followers section.

3. Locate the user you wish to remove, then click the inside their user field.
