You can create bearer tokens for use with the OASIS Online API. Bearer tokens can be created for yourself, other users, and customer contacts.
For yourself
1. Click the question mark in the top right corner, then select Security Settings.
2. The User Security page will appear.
3. Under Authentication, click Generate.
4. The token will be generated. Adjust the token details as needed.
For another user
Requirements:
- This process requires Admin access to Software.
1. Navigate to the Configuration page.
2. Click Online Activity, then select Online API Usage.
3. The API Usage page will appear. Learn more about the API Usage page.
4. Click the Tokens tab, then click + Create Token.
5. Enter token details as needed, then click Create.
- Owner: The user authorized to use the bearer token.
6. Once created, the token will appear in the table. The user can access the token from their Security Settings.
For a contact
Customer contacts will be able to access their data using the Order Status JSON API designed for the Customer Portal add-on.
1. Navigate to the Contacts page.
2. Open an existing contact.
3. The Contact Viewer will appear. Click to edit the contact entry.
4. On the General tab, under User Keys & Web Access, click Generate.
5. The token will appear. Adjust details as necessary.

For user type "API Access" this method won't work, since that user type is unable to log into the O4 UI directly. Generating tokens for an API user must be done by an admin account with O4 access under the Users Configuration menu
