Tiles are Online-exclusive reporting applications that display complex information in a compact and convenient format. Each tile regularly runs, interprets, and automatically shares updates, so you're always kept up-to-date with the information that matters to you.
This article covers:
- Editing tiles
- Checking a tile's update status
Editing Tiles
Tiles can be edited at any time. Changes to the tile's visual details, like its Display Name, should take effect immediately. However, changes made to its data source, calculation details, or filters may not apply until the tile updates again.
1. Navigate to the Home Page.
2. Click Tiles, then select Edit from the drop-down list.
3. The Edit Tiles page will appear. Each tile will display general information about the tile and its batch job, which is the technology used to update tiles automatically.

Checking a Tile's Update Status
Tiles update automatically, but delays can happen. You can check the update status of tile by referring to the font formatting applied its Update Date. There are three ways the Update Date may appear: regular, italicized, and red italicized.
Regular Formatting
If the Update Date is black and "regular" (not italicized), the tile is running on time and performing updates as expected. No tooltip will be available.
Italicized
If the Update Date is black and italicized, the tile is delayed but expected to run after hours when resources are available to execute the update. The tooltip will read, "Tile will run after hours."
Red Italicized
If the Update Date is red and italicized, the tile is either disabled, missing, or overdue. Each status provides a unique tooltip:
- Disabled tooltip: "Tile is disabled"
- Missing tooltip: "Tile run data could not be found"
- Overdue tooltip: "Tile is x minutes overdue" (where "x" equals the number of minutes since the batch job was last scheduled to run)
For tiles with red italicized text, please contact OASIS Support for troubleshooting.
